Best of 2015

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone! Oh hey, 2016- where did you come from?!

First things first, I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you guys- yes YOU.

Without you wonderful humans following along, sharing, and connecting with me, I'd just be a rather lonesome blogger in my own little world (womp womp). Thank you for allowing me to open up my world to you guys. I sincerely hope that you've all been able to take away inspiration from Living Minnaly in various shapes and forms.

Whether it be daring to learn a new skill, tiptoeing into the kitchen for the first time, getting on track with your health & fitness, traveling, or simply self-development, I take it as such an honor and privilege to provide any type of guidance and/or inspiration. Coaching is what I chose to do for a living, after all! So, from the bottom of my heart- thank you for letting me into YOUR worlds and lives. The friends I have made and opportunities to indulge in my passions through this platform, along with Instagram, have been mind-boggling and so fulfilling. I am so very grateful.

On that note, I'd love to hear from you guys even more! I'm always looking for your feedback on what you'd like to see on here, questions you may have, or if you just want to say hello and connect. Drop me a line here.

I hope you all are enjoying your New Year plans, whether that is to stay at home in sweatpants or out and about! And wishing you a wonderful, healthy New Year. Filled with NON-resolutions ;)

So now to close out 2015 in classic blogger style, here is a roundup of the top 13 (because it's my lucky number- I realize the irony...) posts on Living Minnaly!

1. 13 Downtown NYC Healthy Foodie Restaurants

Haha! This one makes me laugh- only because it's also my top hit from Google searches of "healthy brunch," and I can just picture my New Yorkers on a Saturday morning after maybe a little too rough of a Friday night, crawling to your laptops in search of healthy foods to recover.

2. Raspberry Chia Jam Oat Breakfast Bars

Oh this one is one of my favorite breakfast treats to make. Make a batch, and tupperware it for a healthy, easy breakfast on the go to evade those coffeeshop pastries- trust me, this is so much yummier, and friendlier on the wallet and health goals too! Gluten-free & Vegan to boot.

3. The Ugly Side of Fitspo

Yes. I was SO so thrilled to see that this was a top hit, because this just HITS home for me, and so many other women I know. You may think your inspiration is coming from a positive place, but look a little closer, and it may not be what you're looking for. Progress and growth comes from self-love and nourishing your body- not beating it up for everything it's not.

4. My 8 Everyday Non-Negotiables

Ah, another post I loved writing. It is of utmost importance to prioritize yourself in this world of distraction and stress. The more you give to yourself, the more you will have to give to others. Set your everyday non-negotiables with the things that are important to you, and the things that make you, well, YOU.

5. Top 13: City Guide to Zürich, Switzerland

Well, this doesn't surprise me because Switzerland is a total dream of an adventure! Everywhere on where to stay, eat, explore, shop, and what to do.

6. Not a Reward or the Boogeyman: It's Just Food

A favorite post of mine, truly from the heart. Having a strange/unhealthy relationship with food is so commonplace nowadays, and it breaks my heart to see loved ones have twisted attitudes towards food because I have been through the gamut of it all and understand the pain, guilt, and confusion. Here's another perspective that will hopefully get you thinking in a healthier way.

7. 8 Must-Sees and Do's of Montréal

Montréal is a city that holds such a special place in my heart. It has become the new travel hotspot for New Yorkers that holds the charm of Europe but at a more affordable cost of a flight. My guide on the must-sees of this beautiful city will help you get the full feel for it in a weekend!

8. Roasted Cauliflower Quinoa Salad w/Spicy Garlicky Tahini Dressing

So healthy, so refreshing, and really an easy one to put together for cooking newbies. As the editor of the Whole Grain Salads feed on the feedfeed, this one has become a signature of mine.

9. 4 Ways Extra Sugar is Sneaking into Your Food

Sugar. Sneaky rascal. Here's what to watch out for to not fall into the traps of thinking you're eating healthily but might be unknowingly eating 90g of sugar in a smoothie-- and tips on how to win at the game.

10. Stretching: 5 Things to Know

An article that, as a trainer, I wish everyone and their mother would read. Please. You'll thank me/yourself for doing it later when you're not wasting time barking up the wrong mobility tree.

11. Grain Guide: 10 Awesome Ones You Should Try

Quinoa, Freekeh, Bulgur, what?? My guide breaks down the best grains to eat, how to cook them, and the nutrition behind each. Bookmark this baby as a cooking reference!

12. Butternut Squash Carbonara with Sage-Maple Bacon

The name says it all. Really. Looking for a mac & cheese replacement that's a little lighter? I just opened a new world for you. Also, Banza pasta is seriously bomb (14g protein/24g carb, gluten-free, vegan, and DELICIOUS). P.S. for 25% off, use code MINNALY25. I ain't getting commission for that, it's seriously because I just want to share the glory of this magical pasta.

13. Enough

Everyone could use this reminder everyday: You are enough. You can also be enough and more- at the same time. We're all works in progress. Let's love ourselves while we still have that "under construction" sign on our heads, and appreciate every step of the way on the journey.
